The view from the north side of the Bridge of Sighs, looking away from the Grand Canal towards inner Venice. The Palazzo Ducale is on the left, the prisons are on the right. The decorations on the bridge leave holes just large enough to put a hand through to reach to the outside, but for this shot, I kept the camera inside to keep the feeling of having to peek out for a sliver of a view.
The view from the south side of the bridge, looking towards the Venetian Lagoon. The Palazzo Ducale would be on the right, the prisons to the left. For this shot, I managed to get the camera, and one hand, out through one of the holes to get a wider-angle shot.
